Una's New Annoying Habit (Horse Pics)

Una? Annoying? Who said that??

Una has a flaw Its taken 6 months, but one is there!! lol

Madam has a food issue. She does not like it in her bucket. But then, she does not like to eat it off the floor She will start eating it, as such:

Then decide that it would taste better off the floor maybe:

Then most of the (very expensive) food is scattered all over floor and bed

Then i get this face. "Mum. I need a new bucket of food. it spilled."

"Mum?? Where you going?? i need foooooood!"

And here's my angel Charlie eating like a sensible horse:

And here's some random pictures!! Still trying to get the weight on her. She cant seem to eat as fast as she's growing She has two of those purple buckets (nearly full!!) of sugar beet, maintenance nuts (just because she likes them lol) and conditioning mix a day, as well as about half a bale of hay It doesnt help that they have no grass in their current field (they have hay there during the day) but they are moving to the other paddock this weekend when i sort the fence!!

Anyway, here is she!

And in contrast... My fat little irishman! He's on rations and still is fat lol

Love this one of my two girls, Una & Delilah, fighting through the mud:

Tink will NOT eat from her bucket either..must be a mare thing..
She tips it up.. I usually just empty it out for her at least that way it doesn't get smooshed into the ground when she is pawing it to tip it up

Lovely photos. My mare is a very messy eater and will bite a bit off a carrot, drop it and go onto the next and never seems to pick up the bits.

As a tip if you have an InSore shop near you (Poundstretcher) they're selling small feeder buckets which are meant to be used for garden use for £1.99 similar to those you see in the riding shops for about £8. Needless to say i've just stocked up on a few of them!

hey- have you tried a feed bucket that hooks over the door? A horse i used to look after spilled her feed all the time then left most of it with a disgusted 'I'm not eating off the floor' look. She ate out of the 'over the door' buckets no problem.

you can get a feedbag or take a piece of baling twine and
put it on the bucket and hang it on her head like a feedbag
