Home check in Cornwall

My OH and I have fallen in love with a dog on the internet in Cheltenham I am going to call in a minute to find out if he is still there and if there is any chance of us rehoming him even though we live in Cornwall and I was hoping there may be someone on here who lives in Cornwall and rehomes dogs who might be able to do a homecheck for us, I thought if we could put a name forward that they would accept there may be more chance of them letting us reserving him when we go this afternoon, obviously if he is even there still (have got everything crossed!)
Sorry not sure if im making much sense but if anyone could help or has any helpful suggestions Id very much appreciate it!

Thankyou! Have been to see him and been told by the home that we could not rehome him due their policy that all puppies rehomed (hes 4-6months she kept saying different ages!!!!) had to attend puppy training classes at the center. We do not see how this could not be worked around by us taking him to classes that they approve of in Cornwall. It was a very busy and seemed alittle tense time when we went and we did not feel we were able to discuse the possibilities properly, we have not given up on him yet!!!!!!

Keep trying Hannah - perhaps they need to actually take time to listen to your suggestions. They seem reasonable to me. Please keep us posted, and good luck

Find out the name of a good training class in your area, preferably one that will give you a certificate when you have completed the course (which you can then copy & send to the rescue). Contact them & ask if it would be ok for the rescue to get in touch with them to confirm that you have made enquiries and are committed to training should you get the puppy. If you give this information to the rescue and they can check with the training club that you have attended then that may just help your case.

Good luck.

They may already have a home lined up for them Hannah. But persevere with the centre and keep in touch with them What type of pup is he?

He is adorable said three months on net came in with his brother as unwanted unplanned litter previous reservation fell through, but he is we think about 4 months now but she kept saying he was different ages! between 6 and 4 months but said he came in end of nov and was three months so would be bout 4 no.

Do you know if he's been vet checked since they are so unsure about his age? surely if he were 4 months they would be able to tell by his teeth?

Dont think it is the center who are unsure of his age just the one person who was dealing with us, how old he was changed everytime she said it also how long it would take to train him. She said at first where you could potty train a young puppy in days he will take weeks hope she doesnt tell the people who take young puppies that! They'd be back within a week returning them for taking too long to potty train! then said your looking at 8 weeks to train him, then said would take 6 months to train him. Treated us like we knew nothing about dogs and wouldnt hear otherwise. Will be trying to talk to someone else this afternoon!!!!!
