Motheaten Chips!

I decided to have a bowl of oven chips as I watched the film tonight. As I was waiting for them to be cool enough to eat, a moth came out of nowhere and settled on a chip! Didn't quite kill it as it hopped onto some more while I yelled obscenities at it and tried to spear it with my fork. Eventually it succumbed to red hot chips, vinegar vapour and no doubt multiple stab wounds and I was able to remove the body.
Suddenly I didn't fancy the chips! the dogs had no such scruples
I can't imagine what attracted it to my food but in future I will let things cool off in the oven and not on the table1

Do you have a light above your dining room table that was switched on at the time? It might have been having a light frenzy moment perhaps?

Not surprised that your dog liked it though

A moth got near your dinner with dogs in the house?
I swear, Loki would have had them digested before they got a look in.
(Wish he wouldn't eat moths ... flies ... daddy-long-legs, etc. ... )

I hate oven chips
and microships
i'd rather eat the moth
