My Rio is line bred. She is the result of a half brother to half sister mating. The whole litter were quality dogs, four of the six being shown and having success. I see no problem with line breeding so long as an occassional outcross is done to prevent the line becoming saturated. If I want a pup from a specific line because I like that line there is less chance of an outcrossed mating producing the same type.
