Crufts went well!

Our first Crufts was very good. Dan has been very ring shy for a while, and I have been working on desenstizing him and getting him to accept being touched by strangers. He did really well in his class, backed off only a little, so I turned him and stood him again - and he stood! He moved well too, and got third in Special Junior Dog. The judge commented that he got a third because of his temperament and she really liked him, so had he not backed off at first may have got top honours. So proud of him! Dan also got first in good citizen dog!

Rio was fab in her class, but I wasn't expecting much because she is a little too thin at the moment, but she moved so well and stood so still. She got a third in post grad bitch which was great as she is still quite immature for that class.

Then their family members went on to win almost everything else. Rio's half brother got BOB, Dandy's mum got BOS, Dandy's dad got RBD, and Rio's auntie got RBB.

All in all, much better than expected for my two. Can't wait for next year!

Thats fantastic...does that mean they are both qualified again for next year? I get a bit confused as it would in my breeds but I know it differs between the breeds.

Sounds like you all had a very successful and enjoyable day...very well deserved too xx
