Interesting - I didnt know before how low the standards were for a dog food to be called 'compleate'
Thats worse than I hoped for -I think the pet food companies should have to publish their results for the 'compleate' trials - and even then it is way way too short a time to see if there are any long term issues with the food

Interesting in that other vets namely Burns and Inglis make commercial dog food for dogs.


I feel sorry for many dog owners who are the victims of food fascists though.

i'm sure there are many vets who 'make' dog food the same as there are many 'celebs' who endorse products such as crisps & hairspray but most likely never use them/
There are a few vets who will speak out against what they feel is wrong for the animal and disregard the financial gain they could get by endorsing it.

I know which ones I would rather believe in.

I still feel it's a very interesting article
