Rain!

I was replying to Vicki's Good Morning thread, commenting on the fact I'd been caught in the rain walking herself this morning, when the block of flats opposite was struck by lightning.
No more than two minutes later, this building was struck, twice.
We have flooding, electrical failure, huge ammounts of thunder and lightning...boy am I glad I went to the Royal yesterday...

Oh, and when bro, sis and I went out for our birthday meal last night, brother, who has a cold, and therefore no sense of smell, ordered a very rare steak. Fortunately I got a whiff of the smell before he ate more than a couple of mouthsfull....good grief, was it *off*!
And the cheeky beggars tried to charge £16 quid for it.
He was mightily sick on the way home, but fortunately is okay today...and we don't want to make too much fuss, as my sister works there...
In their defence, the meat was delivered frozen, and was well in date....so I blame the suppliers!

Rain finally stopped here in Bristol around 2pm after 36 hours of continuous non-stop pouring down, what a relief to see the sunshine again. Our swimming pool is overfull now, I guess we've had a good 6-8" of rain.
