microchip bit worried (lump where the chip was implanted)

Hi,
I am a little bit concerned,i have noticed a lump where Tyler had his chip put in.Is this normal?

How long has he had the microchip? What you must remember is the size of the Microchip needle so swelling will be normal for a couple of days. We don't microchip our Dogs until they are around 6 months

this happened to my sisters dog when she was chipped.
try and cool it down she took her to the vets and was told it was swelling down to the muscle group being bruised through the chip inplant.
they gave her some pain killers and was fine after that.
she was only a 10 wk old min/toy poodle so a tiny thing, i did tell her she was too small but the vet convinced her better and little amber paid the price.
she was up all night crying as she couldn't turn her head.

Never noticed anything with Bodhi.

It is probably just swollen and sore

We had Suki's chip done at 12 weeks with her second injections - there was a small lump for about a week and then it eventually went down but she wasn't in any pain.

Riley had the same thing when his microchip was put in, i was really worried too As people have said its probably just swollen and sore, with Riley the lump disappeared within a day or so and he's fine now
