Morning - Dogsey Daily Thread - Thursday

...I think???? Morning all Dogsey peops, I think it's Thursday out there???

Still dark, so don't know what it's doing out there, but I can probably guess, even though the forecast said it would be dry until the week-end. I'm off down to the beach no matter what though.

Just been catching up ((((((((hugs))))))))) to you Sally and the worry of that long journey for your husband, I hope you find your dad in good spirits. Some more hugs for you Rosebud, who seem to have overdone it big time yesterday in search of a glorious, long, sandy beach like I've got myself here, and sadly, all you found was more mud. Hoping Loki has stayed fit free from yesterday for you Linda and has stopped chewing those darn feet. Georgie used to do that, he'd chew himself raw between his toes and sometimes a spot on would work well cos it killed the mites, so maybe it's mites? Hope our babies are still doing well this morning June, I saw there was a bit of a hiccup with them yesterday, but hopefully, they're bouncing about again for you this morning.

Dave home tonight, so better organise his curry, even though he's on a diet, I will do the portion control bit on him. One of my neighbours rang me last night, he does this everytime Dave is away, but he stays on the phone for about an hour but I suppose it's rather nice of him to think about me being here home alone, plus we have a good old laugh which can't be bad

Hope all is well with you and the doglets, and if I go AWOL on you it's cos the puter has crashed, it's on a go slow atm, can't understand why, I've done everything possible to clean it all up, but it's having its moment, bit like yours there grandma, and I hope you get yours back soon.

Enjoy the day then, soon be the week-end

Hello H and everyone.
Still dark here too but it is dry
Just a boring shopping day for me.
Good luck for today Sally, I hope Loki is well today Linda and that everyone else is fit.
Hubby got fed up with me coughing yesterday and went to a chemist, Numark, and got me some of their Chesty Cough mixture. Thats all it's called Chesty Cough. Well I have slept all night, not one bark hahaha. Good stuff.
Take care all see you later.

Good morning Helena and all who follow.

Same old for us today. Long walk with a Mcd's thrown in.

It is Thursday, yes, Helena and I know because the bin men are making one hell of a racket outside

Still too dark to see much of the weather out there, but I think it's dry - it's supposed to be today. I hope so because we got wet yesterday with that slow, damp, drizzly stuff.

Have a good 'un all xx

Morning Jen I wondered what you were going to say then when you started with "hubby got so fed up with me coughing yesterday....." He didn't throw you outside then!!! So glad he found a good remedy and hopefully you'll get rid of it. They were all coughing like mad in Mr S yesterday I had to keep running and hiding cos I don't want it.

Morning everyone

Well, Loki had another fit early this morning but there was a long time between fits, so that's good. He wants his walk now so I'm about to head off in a minute. No more chewing feet. It's almost recreational.

It's going to be nicer today so I hope you all have a lovely day.

xxx

Morning H and all,
I took Kyiro for his first little walk for over 2 months today. Only 2 mins down the road and back, but his little face really lit up. I will wait to see if its caused him any problems as the day goes on. If not I will do it each morning with him and then slowly increase it after a week if all is well.
I must nip to the vets this morning and drop a claim form in for Kyiro as I am still being very positive that this is all going to heal without the need for the vet anymore. Fingers crossed anyway.
Just been chatting to my cousin in Austrailia and she said the temp is 45 degrees out there today, now that is hot phew!
Hope you all have a good day whatever your plans and (((hugs))) to those that need it.

I've got a few extra days off work and not back in until Monday, and was going to go out with our local walking group for a six mile walk. Unfortunately as I'm not a member of the group, I was going as someone's guest but she just rang to say she has a stomach bug so I can't go. Instead, as the dogs couldn't come on the original walk, I'm thinking of taking them out on a six mile walk i can do from home. If i get moving, we could be out and back by noon.

Then I'm going to get myself a small piece of lamb, stick it in the oven at 5pm and have a long early bath while it's cooking. It always feels quite decadent to have a bath earlier and then laze around afterwards. OH is working away tonight so can please myself.

Morning Helena and all,

Firstly, LS I am so sorry about Loki this morning I don't really know anything about fits so all I can offer are (((hugs))).
Helena - have a lovely walk and beware of your neighbour. It sound as though he has 'designs' on you.
Nippy - that cough mixture sounds fantastic!
Chris - enjoy your long walk. We are desperate for our bins to be collected as I missed the 'household' collection 2 weeks, so I have a months worth of smelly rubbish

Its possible I'm going to be doing an unexpected visit to my Mum this morning (had planned a long dog walk) as my nephew and his family are over from Hong Kong for a few more days and wants to visit her. I need to be there too as my poor Mum won't have a clue who they are.

Have a good day and I hope you and your dogs all stay safe and well.

Hi Kazer, sorry you've been let down. Could you not follow the dog group at a distance Whatever you choose I hope you have a good walk.

Bev - I can just imagine how excited Kyiro must have been to get out for a mini walk again and I hope he has no ill effects from it. Our neighbours dog had a cruciat ligament + op 8 weeks ago and was allowed to go for her first lead walk yesterday (just 100yrds). We bumped in to them and all 3 dogs were crying with excitement and delight. So lovely to see. 45 degrees is a trifle too hot for me. We had 2 days of 41 degrees when we visited Aussie and that was uncomfortable. It would be lovely to have something between that temperature and ours

I love the same old, same old - I'm just a boring old f**t. As for knowing the days of the week by big events like the bin men coming, yep, I'm guilty.

Jenny, we haven't had a single missed bin collection since we came here over 6 years ago . They really are brilliant (heavens, I hope I haven't spoken too soon).

Gary is still very tired and goes dizzy if he tries to do too much. It's the first time since he was 18 that he hasn't gone out either Christmas or the New Year so he must be feeling rough. This one has really shaken and scared him. He's had so many injuries in the past through fits, but this one has been the worst. Unfortunately, he has had bad reactions to every anti-convulsive he's tried and any drink heightens the risk of seizure. Being deaf, he really is cut off from a lot of the things we take for granted - like getting any real enjoyment from TV or simple joys like listening to the radio so going out with friends should be a good way to socialise. Not so easy though if you can't drink and the others get slowly more drunk as the night goes on. When he gives in and has a 'good' night with drink involved, he runs the risk of these types of injury. I really do feel sorry for him and worry like heck about him most of the time. . Thankfully, he is into computers so that's his main hobby. Pretty boring though if that is all you have isn't it?
