thanks guys, so my way of doing things is about normal,.
I have loads of vet bed scattered around and it gets grubby very quickly in this rain, yesterday I had to change the whole lot twice,. but vet bed is so easy to wash and its dry in about an hour or so if hung up in the house,,,
next question is what do you wash your dogs bedding in?? I use normal washing powder and lenor,... my dogs never seem to have a reaction to it and it helps keep them smellin nice too.... if you know what I mean,,, if I didnt change there bed so often they would smell like greasy dogs pretty quick, but when its changed each day they just smell like normal dogs...

I would love a twin tub for the dogs washing but dont have room for a second washing machine,...

I too wash mine in normal washing powder and fabric conditioner.

My poor washing machine really takes a beating, what a luxury it would be to have a separate machine for their bedding.

I wash my dogs bedding with tesco 2in1 bio wash tabs, the same as our clothes. I also add some napisan into the wash drawer.
I'd love to have a seperate washing machine for the dogs stuff!

OR as I have said before, could it be all of us on dogsey are nuts

My garden is paved and decked with raised beds that the dogs do not go in and even they are topped with thick bark, so no mud from the garden just wet feet. The dogs are shorthaired so obviously retain less moisture, are walked in the woods daily but leave most of the mud behind with the remains being collected on the duvet in the back of the car. The dogs beds are in the utility room where they sleep of a night time or when I go out, but they don't go in there during the day. In the daytime they doss in front of the log burner in the conservatory.
So their beds are washed about once a month and they don't smell and are not dirty either, Deep joy

Thanks Dougiepit - as i said it was a fairly clean dog but then as much as could be reached had been under the outside tap before we came in.

I used to try to avoid the mud and water if I could but have now just accepted it as a GR owner's lot

i use vet bedding and change it everday

I use non-bio washing powder/liquid but not conditioner as it makes the vet bedding feel almost greasy and seems to attract the dirt more.
