Networked Laptop Antivirus

We have a laptop networked to the main computer. It came with Panda anti-virus (the main one has Norton) - do we still need to have anti-virus installed on the laptop as well as the main one?

If the Laptop uses the internet then yes it would be wise to have protection on it if not then your main system would of scanned everything (if configured to do so) before it gets to the Networked Laptop

Each computer in the network should have it's own anti-virus software. But like Pamngeoff said, don't buy it use Avast or AVG, both are free for life and both are excellent.

as said every computer should have an antivirus program on if only the main computer is open to the net a firewall shold be enough on that one but be on the safe side and put the AVAST on it is free and updates every day and has also network protection why pay for something you can get free and i am sure it is just as good
