What are your top 3 training books?

I want to get some training books for christmas and wondered what people would recommend? I'm not really thinking about "tricks" books but anything with outdoor/distance work, agility type stuff, and creating a better relationship/ more focus etc?

So what are your top 3? Also are there any books you've bought that you wish you hadn't bothered with?

Must-have: Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson
Understanding and Handling Dog Aggression by Barbara Sykes (although you have to ignore the dominance tosh)
and Dancing with Dogs by Richard Curtis is fun.

Quite a few I`ve thrown away after reading a chapter but I won`t name them because they might suit other people.

Advanced Schutzhund by Ivan Balabanov - excellent book for advanced training techniques, building a bond etc.

The Dog Vinci Code - by John Rogerson - great for recall problems, lead pulling, behaviour problem solving etc

Dont Shoot The Dog - by Jean Donaldson - I think its great for learning about free shaping, understand a little more about how dogs think etc

I've put calming signals and dog vinci on the list. I'm debating between culture clash and don't shoot the dog as they sound like they cover similar ground?

Also looking at smellorama, nose games for dogs - by Viviane Theby if anyone has any thoughts on that one?

A few by Sarah Fisher sound interesting. Are her books any good? I was looking at "100 ways to train the perfect dog" or "unlocking your dogs potential"

I think you would enjoy both Karen Pryor and JD books as though they touch on the same things, they have a very different approach.

KP has examples of how to use training for dogs, animals, husbands, children and employees, very useful

JD has examples of how to approach various real life issues which are expanded upon in her subsequent books.

I think SF should stick to the Tellington Touch, rather than dog training...........
