Blood in anal glands

Hello.
My daughters dog is 9 yrs old, he has been nibling round his bottom so off he went to the vet and he had his anal glands emptied which had blood in it.
He was on antibiotics for about 3 weeks and had a small biopsy done from that area which came back all clear, the infection and blood did clear up for about a month but is now back again and the vet said he is going to do some investigations.
Any body out there heard of this problem.
My daughter is worried it could be something more sinister.
Thank you

Some dogs are prime to abcesses in this area which will bleed. Guess your vet just wants to rule everything else out - standard procedure x

It seem to be as an anal infection/ abscess, your dog needs medical aid. Please take her to the vet ASAP
