Animal War Memorial, not before time.

Just saw this on bbc news this morning.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/somerset/conten..._feature.shtml

I think this is fabulous, did you know over 1.5 million horses and mules died in the 1st world war ? This even remembers the pigeons that died trying to return messages home.

It's about time the animals were paid some respect - now all we need is the same for all those animals died in experiments for drugs and cosmetics and all those other man-made things

I have always thought it was unfair to involve animals in human "squabbles". I know that somewhere in the Bible it says that Man was given dominion over the Animals, but it was a man who wrote it!

At least the poor creatures are going to be granted some sort of recognition for their part in a conflict that was not of their making.
