Don't be scared. My partner is a sound engineer in a recording studio and he has to deal with soooooo many crappy bands that don't realise you have to practise and gig and be willing to learn to get anywhere. If its what you wanna do then go for it!!!!! Oh make sure there's a vip table for dogwebbers at all your gigs. This advice is only my opinion but even if you don't become a superstar this is a way to do the thing you love and maybe make money out of it.

Hey girl you go for it and let me know how you get on. It's quite close to me....i used to sing a lot and it is pretty easy to get in a band and get out there but unfortunately/or maybe not(?!?!?!) i became more interested in acting and physical theatre. Also i can ask OH for advice although his first tip is always to take a few singing lessons....if only to learn how to breath properly and not damage your voice by straining it.xx

Thanks Vix, yea am looking into singing lessons although not exactly flushed for money right this minute!
I like the idea of a band, there was a ad in the local paper last week, for a female singer to join a band, but it said professional only

Im getting braver
After sat i realised i have got the confidence to sing in front of an audience!
Im going for it, probs wont get anywhere but at least i would have tryed
