volunteers

Hi, I was at a meeting of the Animal Rights Society at my university (I'm Vice-President) and we came up with a great idea:

Here it is: we find a rescue in or near London (Not Battersea - we'd like to help a more local rescue that needs the volunteers more than Battersea). Each week one of our members will go to help out for a day in the rescue, I'm not sure what the procedures are for volunteers, could one of you who is involved in this let me know?

We could also do collections, not only of money, but maybe things like blankets and possibly food, for the rescue.

Do any of you know of a rescue near or in London? (The campus is in Harrow)
