Not that I think it should ever need to apply to dogs, but some of my friends keep far way more ‘dangerous’ animals than a dog that looks a certain way!! They use a DWAL licence so maybe something like that could be used for breeds deemed ‘dangerous’. Okay granted you’re not likely to see a scorpion, monkey or Eyelash Viper on the street etc, but surely it’s gotta be better than putting them down all the time
Very good post!

i was in a shop and if you had a licence and money, you could have walked out with a cayman and a puff adder the puff adder being lethal and could be in your next door neighbors house or even escaped, so why can you keep lethal animals with a license and not possibly dangerous ones, im sure a cayman is pretty dangerous too.

Good to hear about these marches. This needs to be kept in the public eye. Dogs cant speak for themselves.

Latest news,
Appeal for Lennox has been granted no date set, BCC asked for lennox's family to pay £7000 the judge REFUSED.

Fingers crossed common sense prevails and he is allowed home sooner rather than later.

Thank heavens for a sensible judge!Let me guess - BCC wants money for his kennelling?
Rude gits - haven't had a reply to my email of protest about his seizure from them either - despite sending it more than several times!

Good news-hope its successful-
There are so many people supporting him, which must be something of a comfort to his family-though the best comfort would be to have him home again, where he belongs!!

What a bl**** cheek Belfast City Council has !!!
Glad there is at least 1 judge alive with a bit of common sense and compassion
