Boxers where not bred to intimidate anyone, they are more likely to let any intruder in the house and lick them to death.


As for him being "solid" nothing wrong with that a Boxer is a Boxer no matter the colour....but in the show ring "flashy " is prefered....yes they do solid classes, but not many these days.

There was solid bitch showing last yr, she was lovely and a few judges did place her.

But the fact is, being "solid" is going to hinder him in the ring, there is no getting way from that fact.

Have a good look at some results, go to some show kennels web pages, you will find they are flashy either Red or Brindle

Now on the Continent , you will see things differently.

If you want to have a go , go for it, you will find it fun.

No Sonya I wouldn't want mine to look mean, although lot's of people would chose solid colour over flashy one's but I thought that it comes down to personal prefrence, Max and Murphy are lovely dog's and if a judge chooses a dog only because of it's colour then imo they shouldnt be judging.
esp if it comes down to the solid dog having better confirmation that the flashy one.

Yes he would be regarded as solid ,As his white markings are not extensive enough to be classsed as flashy xxdk

They don't have to be coloured it's down to prefrence, but the American dog's are more colourd and alot of dog's were imported for there colour and I think alot of breeder's found they sold better.

Their sire's kennels have a lot of dark brindle dogs/bitches, with a larger white bib and white paws, which isn't as flashy as I'd expect, although there's a lovely bitch with a white band across her nose...

And, oh dear, they're planning a litter in 18 months (must stay away from webpage....)

I dont think its a matter of them having to be coloured , It more of a case of personal preferrence , I own both flashy and solid , But I neither prefer one over the other , I also find most white boxers very desirable , With me its personal preference xxdk
