Mollie....24th March 1999-3rd July 2009

I had her xrayed 3 weeks ago as she was having a lot of pain in her leg, this showed the spondolosis had progressed in her spine...So was put on stronger painkillers, she then got sickness and the other and stopped eating, I thought it was the new pills, the vet gave her tablets to settle her tum, but they did not work, she still would not eat, lost 4 kilos in 3 weeks....
Yesterday when I was washing her face felt a lump in her throat, explaining why she would not eat, she did drink gallons though....I knew then something was really wrong, she still played, chased her ball, although not ass she used to...So this morning I took her for a wealk, just me and her, and got her to the vet, it was a tumour in her throat, which they had not detected before as it was behind the tracia(SP) and the vet was more than sure she had more than one elsewhereand she was very ill , she had gone right down hill in 3 weeks....she still bounced about, slobbered the vet and waggged her tail...We cuddled her and she wagged her tail till she fell asleep..no more pain......Now at peace...Its a shock because it happened so fast, but am sure I did the right thing, did not want her to suffer anymore....

Oh Pat, I'm so sorry to hear this very sad news.

It's the last thing we can do for our dogs, and better a day too soon than a minute too late.

Run free Moli, much loved Dogsey dog, and very much missed by us all
