French Bulldog or Pug?

Hi all

We're thinking about getting a puppy and we'd love some more information on French Bulldog's and Pugs.

We currently live in flat and have no children and we are undecided as to which dog is more suitable for us and we want to make sure we pick the right breed, for our sake and the dogs.

We're heard that French Bulldogs can be difficult to train and disobediant as a puppy and an adult...is this the case?

Thanks

Wouldn't know, but if they are anything like Bulldogs they are difficult (or can be) to housetrain.

So I would go with the pug

I love my pug, even though he was 4 when I got him He learnt very quickly, and he thinks he is a big dog in little dogs clothes . Although he does like a knee to sit onoccasionally, he loves being out and running with the collies, dont think we have really managed to tire him out yet, even on a sponsored walk for collie rescue!
Has a wondeful sense of humour, snores, if I had anything detremental to say and its not really a problem its that they seem to coat all the time, even though he is groomed every day.

I look after quite a few pugs and I find them very hyper and a bit nippy. Thats before they've spat on you I just dont like the fact that the snort and sniff all the time.

So go for the french bulldog I look after one called Bertie and he is a cracker. From what his owners have said he was house trained easily & are easier to train than you think. It's like any dog the more time and effort you put in the more you get back

Boston Terrier.

Out of the 2, i'd go for the Frenchie.

I love them both, but personally, if had a choice would go for the frenchie, esp considering where you are.
I met a gorgeous one in Ypres, Belgium, he was at a restaurant we were eating ate, was very well behaved and stole our hearts.
Mind you I love pugs too..... I'm no help am I? lol

Search on "dogbreed info" and they have lots of information on both breeds and pics to!
I would say french bulldog....I LOVE THEM!!!!!
I would say both are suited to live in a flat or aprtment....like most dogs as long as they get the exercise they need.
Both great dogs tho...its up to you which breed you choose!
