I wonder if this has any relevance but there has been a working type lab or lab cross roaming in the village of Woodcote.
He's an entire male, yellow (pale) with a dark tan/brown leather collar and flea collar but no ID tags.
This chap has been reported to the local dog warden as 'roaming' the village.
He's been sighted around the estate nr the Black Lion pub (the owner of which has also been trying to catch the dog). The publican did not know of any missing labs nor did the dog warden.
Plus he also has been roaming around the playing fields, he also nearly caused a RTA as he came hurtling over the road nr the Post Office from the playing fields to get 'fruity' with my puppy.

Perhaps another dog that has been stolen and got free?
As he is quite nervy when you try to approach to catch him.

Thank you DD i will contact chris (where sika was staying) and ask him if any of his dogs were taken.
