Has any one heard the new legislation for animals......from now on, the police will only have to have a compliaint of supposed neglect or cruelty and they will be able to remove the animal to care...?

This is what I believe you are referring to? http://www.official-documents.co.uk/.../6252/6252.pdf It the New Animal Welfare Bill that the Government are bringing out soon. It's rather lengthy but hopefully will go some way towards tackling animal cruelty and negect in the UK.

Sounds wonderful! The RSPCA (as far as I have heard) have little power to remove and prosecute unless it is under the most severe or extreme circumstances.

Yep i think there will be plenty of cases of that around should at least be investigated before removing the animal, as it should be obvious if the animal is being mistreated.

I think even if you,ve got a neighbour that hates you the police would know if the animal is being illtreared so i would,nt worry about that.
