Chinaowner I think you may be a little late posting, many people will have already made or bought puddings ..but if you would like to share your recipe with us here we can copy and save it to try some other time

Mini - this is for last minute in response to someone saying they couldnt find one big enough...it can be ready to serve in 4 hours....

200g Currants
100g mixed raisins and sultanas
100g glace cherries
100g candied peel
90g self raising flour
125g breadcrumbs
150 g shredded suet
150 g brown sugar
2 tspn ginger
3 large eggs
orange zest
6 shots of whisky ( or more if you are like me and like a really alcoholic pudding!)

Large pudding basin

Mix all together line pudding basin with greaseproof paper and butter
put all in basin
cover with lid or tin foil and tie with string
steam on low for 3-4 hours

Serve!!!

Sounds gorgeous!!!! I love xmas pudding. I think i'll have a go at making it for New Years day.
We wasn't going to have a pudding. No-one else eats it in our house. So i just thought stuff it & gone to the local shops to buy myself a xmas pudding & fresh cream Mmmmmmmm can't wait LOL
