Rudy and Cash, AKA, The Ponies

With Rudy weighing in at 120 pounds (and losing, thankfully) and Cash a trim 80 pounds, I refer to the boys as my ponies as it sometimes feels like I'm walking a couple of small horses. I'm using a gentle leader but the learning curve has been slow and my arms get sore. Won't be giving up on them though.

Rudy, he's chunky but has lost 5 pounds since we started our diet and excercise routine. He still has a long way to go to being a healthy weight.

Try to get them swimming. If they like it. I had a foster come to me who was overweight, I knew he liked swimming so we did 15 minutes swim, 15 minutes walk, 15 minutes swim, 15 minutes walk. Within 2 weeks he'd dropped 4kg. And now is perfect at 26kg.
