Ear mites?

What do you use for ear mites, I have to use a cleaner on my dog constantly, but it never really clears up the problem!

I dont think it bother her very much, except for me forever treating her ears, but the brown gunk keeps coming out of her ears all the time!

We have been to the vets and have had drops given to her but it still persists.

If she's already been prescribed drops by the vets, it is likely that the drops the vet prescribed were not effective to her particular ear problem.

Gunky/irritated ears are often a nightmare for dogs being painful and annoying.

Take her back to the vet and explain that the drops you have been using have had no effect.

If the problem still persists, your vet may want to take a swab from her ear to be tested.

Hi Cassie I agree with Mumtomax , may I just add that in a addition to being extremely uncomfortable for dogs, if not treated correctly ear mites can go on to cause a more serious ear infection/deafness and the constant scratching by the dog can also result in a Hematoma, a large blood filled swelling, so it really is important to go back to the vet. I hope your dog is better soon

I had a problem with my dogs ears, I was going to the vet and getting ear drops they would help a bit but then it would flair up again and I would go back to the vet and he would give me a different ear drops and so it when on to ear swab steroids non of it worked I think the drops kill the mites but not the eggs, I found the vet useless a waste of time and money ,
then I discovered Thornit used it and no more ear problems

A swab was already taken, and the drops prescribed have had no effect, well they work while I'm using them twice a day, but if I miss just one day the problem is there again!

I have just ordered Thornits, this product is not sold in Australia, so I know nothing about it other than what I have read. Can you please tell me if this will rid the problem or is it used as a preventative!

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance !
Cassie

It should solve the problem and be used as a preventative which is how I use it as I've never had an ear problem but then I have always used it lol!
