Harley - 7 year old male Parson's Jack Russell Terrier
Harley, Parson's Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 06.12.05 - Walton upon Thames, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Harley needs people with time to offer him to join in his fun and delight in his terrier traits. He could live with another dog(s), children and/or cats. Harley chases bikes, so needs to be retained on an extender lead. No for crates, sleeps in bed in owner’s bedroom.
His Story: Harley's owners circumstances have changed, they now work full time and have a baby. Harley is left for long hours and he isn't coping. Harley isn't getting the life a terrier needs and his family believe he will be much happier with companionship, more walks etc. Neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated.
Advert: Harley lives with an 8 month old baby and meets all children well. “Never had a single worry moment”. Regularly stays with 3 non terrier rescue dogs older than himself. Harley has also lived with cats in the past. He knows ‘sit’, 'stay', 'lay down', 'come here' & 'hi 5'. He understands 'dinner (din dins)', 'no', 'leave it', 'going out', 'lead', 'park', 'treats', 'tricks', 'stick', 'find it', 'up', 'down', 'go to the toilet' & 'quickly'. He adapts well and is receptive to change. Doesn't like crates and may 'occupy himself' when left for long periods as he does currently with his owner who is working full time. He needs a lifestyle to entertain and occupy his terrier intelligence. Full history and a very caring current owners who are retaining until he is rehomed.
Harley is a white Parson's Jack Russell. "He loves a good game of fetch (he's fast) but his favourite is to throw it under a small gap where he can't get it (i.e. under the TV unit) & whine until you get up & get it for him. That's very repetitive & he knows you will end up playing with him. He loves tricks & especially to hunt if you've hidden something & just the words 'find it' & he's off for ages". Such fun and needs lots of fun times...
