I am guessing it may be the eye patch that landed him in rescue as is this a breed fault for showing?

It could be the patch, but he also had a hernia, he had one op that didn't work so had another op for it when in rescue.
I don't mind his patch, I only want him as a friend and riding companion, and maybe do some road dog trials

awww bless him! The patch makes him look cheeky so i love it too. Just a shame the people that bred him cared more about perfection then personaility. There loss though, my mums Dalli was a star and very loyal to her, she loved going out riding with us.
