You gotta show him, Steve. Say, "Vegas - speak" in an encouraging voice, then go, "woof" in your best doggie barknig voice. Try to make it authentic though.

I've tried doing that LS! I dont give a hoot what anyone might think of me if they heard or saw me doing it so its not from lack of encouragement on my behalf! Every morning before i leave for work i make him sit then do the 'speak','woof','yelp' etc and he looks at me with a blank expression on his face and blowing bubbles with saliva cause of biccy im holding...

The only thing i can do which promotes Vegas to make a noise is howling and he does kinda sing along with me when i've had a few too many beers!
