Dieting when pregnant????

OK guys, dont panic no news on me being pregnant..!!

Oh ok then

Me and OH are trying for a baby. !!!!

But I need to lose about 2 stone and wanted to ask

Is it safe to diet when pregnant if you are doing it via no alcohol, loads of fruit and veg and no crap food etc..???.

Is it safe to lose weight at a rate of 2lbs per week if you are in the first few months of pregnancy...ie month 1 -4...

Most people generally loose a bit in the early weeks anyway.
Not sure if its safe to actually go on a weight reducing diet though sorry.

Good luck and have fun trying

If you are eating a healthy balanced diet then I don't see it as a problem. Really to keep weight off you need to have a lifestyle change in anay event rather than specifically dieting.

I know at the moment it is more difficult to lose weight as i am not working and am finding it hard to get the motivation to do exercise and hopefully next month when the shop has completed i will be on my feet all day running around! so that will be a lot more activity!

I dont intend to diet drastically i will be eating a balanced diet just no bad foods and plenty of fruit and veg!

I dont see a problem if it really is a case of eating healthily, but it might be wise to have a chat with your midwife.

I would speak to your mid-wife. i know weight watchers won`t allow you to join their programme whilst pregnant so I would check before you do anything at home.

A lot of people lose weight at first when they become pregnant purely because they are having morning sickness. I didn't get that though.
Personally I wouldn't try and lose weight, just eat ultra healthily.
