Lipomas on cockapoo

Hello,

We have a 3 year old female Bichon Frise, 6 year old male Bichon Frise and a 14 year old female cockapoo. All of our dogs are healthy with the exception of our cockapoo (Tootsie) who has what our local vet says were some lipomas on her chest. She has some smaller ones, like the size of a pimple on her head, left hind quarters and right inner leg. He told us they were all nothing to be concerned about but did not do any tests on her. I did some research and found that this was due to yearly vaccinations and possibly food. We are giving them 4Health food which they tend to like to a point. We also have been giving them Alpo Snap treats when they are good or when we want them to do something! I also saw that giving Tootsie Turmeric could possible shrink her lipomas.

What is your opinion in all of this with vaccinations and so forth?

Thanks,

What tosh, lots of dogs have fatty lumps that are harmless and cause no problems unless they grow in awkward places. Those dogs would have been fed on a huge variety of foods from the highly processed to raw and many would have had no more than puppy vaccinations. As far as I'm aware they won't shrink, some may continue to grow while others reach a point of growth and grow no more.
She's 14 so you've been doing something right, stop beating yourself up for feeding your dog and following what were the vaccination protocols. It's not your fault that she's developed fatty lumps, it happens.
