got my hospital appoinment through today :(

ive got to have a drip put in my arm, then given drugs to make my heart beat faster, then its going to be scanned.
to be honest im not looking forward to it, im a big coward LOL
but its got to be done

going into basildon, they have a brand new cardiology unit there. only opened last jusy, its very swish
im having a dobutamine/stress echocardiography test.
and as normal the parkings a nightmare, but they are building a new car park. mulitistory one, so that should help (eventully) if it wasnt for the fact ill be woozy id get a bus home.

That's a new one on me! Maybe it's adrenalin, that makes the heart beat faster doesn't it?? I'd do a search just to see what you're in for (if it were me!!). All the best, just remember, they know what they're doing, and there's nothing quite as important as your heart, so it needs to be done. Be brave, be very brave, you've probably been through worse! All the very best and hope the results come out fine too!xxx

I had similar, but whilst on a tread mill, and blimey they got it up so I was almost running on it!!! My poor little heart was beating like the clappers, and I was all wired up to this big machine which gave out all number of readings for them to evaluate. That was prior to my 2nd angiogramme though, and obviously with one of those (the angiogramme) they can see just about everything going on in the heart. I do hope you get the results you want, but I don't think it will be a painful process by the looks of it, more traumatic than painful I should think! Deep breaths then,and good luck!

Yes they were starting to build that when i moved
i had my gall bladder out in Basildon and have nothing but praise for them as they saved my life
so you will be fine hun

if i still lived there i would have gave you a lift in and home
