The Voice

Anyone watching it? I just caught it on iPlayer (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...d_Auditions_1/)

What a brilliant show! About time there was a talent show about the actual voice - you know, the thing that's most important if you... sing!

Also like how the power is in the hands of the singers, not the judges - and how the judges are actually... nice!

I think I would happily listen to any of the one's picked so far - can't wait to see who wins and how the show progresses.

While I preferred the format to the Pop Idol one, I still felt unhappy at them showing the `failures`. I felt so sorry for the van driver boy.
And I can see the fake rivalry is going to get on my nerves.
Better than Cowell & Co though.

Yeah - I felt sorry for those that didn't get picked either... but it's still good exposure for them and they might get snapped up by someone else (as often happens on these sorts of shows)

Personally I dont like the fact that talent scouts have picked these people.

I prefer x Factor and Britans Got Talent because its about RAW talent.

I loved it!! There will always be people behind the scenes filtering the good ones out. If they put everyone in front of the judges, the rounds would go on for years!! There will certainly have been a couple of rounds before judges...just like the X Factor. At least the judges are truly talented!
I did love it though!! Loving the girl with the red hair!!

Were watching it as well. I also watched the USA and Dutch versions, the chairs were alot more plush than the ones on the UK version.

I hope the show does well.

I read that Simon Cowell wants to poach Jessie J (or whatever she's called), he's going to offer her treble the pay that the BBC are giving her. He desperately wants her to be a X Factor judge this year. Will be interesting.

I hope not! And I hope she is smart enough to know that it will probably destroy her street cred... she spearheaded the movement herself... it's not about the money money money

I must admit, I prefer X Factor and BGT. I enjoyed it but I thought it was a bit samey. The judges seemed to say the same things when arguing who was going to get the act.

Bit disappointed with it really. Now BGT was brilliant. David Walliams on there was a stroke of genius!
