Alfie, Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 04.03
Alfie, Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 04.03
Homing Requirements: Alfie needs a 'feet on the floor' terrier home to put the confidence behind Alfie and give him the opportunity to settle in another dogs company outside again. He may need the temporary use of a muzzle just for those off lead dogs who don’t heed Alfie's nerves. He ideally needs a child-free living environment though meets children well just hasn't had much to do with them.
His Story: Alfie was living with 2 other dogs, but they fell out and so a relative took Alfie in and has kept him away from dogs believing him not to be fluent. He actually has quite good dog skills; he just had several squabbles in the pack alas he was the one to lose his home. His owners weren't happy to have Alfie near the new baby especially as it began to crawl. He was taken to the vets, but vet thought little Alfie needed the right rescue home and asked terrierrescue to help.
Advert: Alfie has such beauty and is an affectionate soul. He is fine in the house and a delightful chap all round. He travels in the car well. Alfie became frightened of other dogs when he lost his home over a squabble and his owners felt it was better to keep him away. Alfie is losing his intense curiousity with other dogs and is learning to tolerate their company and was that 'perhaps a smile?'
Alfie as you can see is a delightful character. We are looking for a terrier experienced owner who is happy to continue the work we have been doing to give him back his confidence so he understands dogs don't hurt him. He is looking for an adult home and would love to be your companion and true friend.
"Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".
If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
***PLEASE NOTE: We are a rescue finding dogs their forever homes. We usually ask for a minimum donation of £150 at the time of adoption, for each dog, to help us continue helping homeless dogs***.
