Jenzi & Yiannis

Here are my 2 youngest dogs, Jenzi and Yiannis. Jenzi is 2 1/2 years old and Yiannis is 3 1/2 years old. Any ideas please on what's going on here?

Thought I'd get a few ideas from the pictures. I already know what was happening as I took the photo but just wondering how others perceive what they see.

Arguing over which of them should open the bottom drawer and steal the contents.

Not playing nor squabbling over the bottom drawer!

Each evening just before they are fed (never inthe morning though for some reason) they bark, snap and snarl at each other. They nver make contact. To peopel who don't know them or know anything about dogs it looks absolutely horrendous (I would've posted a video if I coudl work out how).

They shut up once the food is in front of them. They eat right next to eadch other but never dip their noses into the other's bowl. Once both have finished, they each check the other's bowl to ensure nothign is left.

Yiannis is very vocal anyway so he'd make noise regardless of the situation. Jenzi is, as a rule, the boss of the boys. But when they'r elike this, if Yiannis splats her with his front paw, she shuts up.

Yiannis (and Zane to a cerain extent) opens his gob and makes noise. Jenzi will make a racket when there's reason to do so but she always screws up her nose like this and puts her ears to the sides. I've also, almost got her to a point where she'll do this on command. The local kids who live just around the corner still think she's a wolf! I'm happy to let them think that if it means peopel stay away from her.

Anyway, in a nutshell, nothing really going on. Just a verbal exchange that happens daily. ALthuogh Yiannis is the "noise demon" he usually shuts up before Jenzi unless he splats her onthe nose first.
