Riley And Meg's First Show Next Week!

Hey all!

Just thought i'd let you know that Meg and Riley have their first show next Friday! They turn 6 months the day before so thats good timing!! I've only done a few Ringcraft Classes and have NEVER done any kind of dog showing before so its all a bit new and scary! Im going along to a show on Thursday to watch and hopefully learn a bit!

So... Can anyone give me any tips?! I'd especially like to know what i should do after i fall flat on my face which is bound to happen Any advice/tips would be much appreciated!!!

Jessica

aww you will be alright on the day just take deep breaths and you will be calm and relaxed, and when your doing your turn just forget whats around you like all the other people just keep talking to your dogs encouraging them and you wil have no trouble,i took my boys to there first show last week and had a fantastic time we came home with 7 rosesetts and a trophy for best breed it was so amazing, just remember deep breaths and enjoy yourself hope this helps abit

Just one bit of advise...HAVE FUN!!!!!!! Treat it as a fun day out and then nothing else will matter.
I'm sure you'll all have a great time! What type of show is it?

A dog show um... a 'limit' i think??

and thanks for the advice!lol I know if anything does go wrong it'll be entirely my fault as always! Both puppies are both incredibly well behaved at the ringcraft classes and they're such laid back pups that im sure the only time they'd get upset or do anything wrong is if im stressing and going wrong! So i guess i have to try and stay calm and breathe!
