What age did you get married?

Following on from the kids topic and someone I know has just got married and is 22, which just seems really young to me! I can't imagine getting married in 18 months time.

Just wondering about you guys?

I was 20 but I had lived away from home for 2 years and felt more mature and capable.
I think it depends on the individual.

I was on my third mortgage, eldest son was 5, we'd been together 8 years and I was 30.

I got married 3 weeks after my 20th birthday, I'd been with my husband since I was 15. We divorced when I was 38.

I'm still waiting

my mum married my dad when she was 18, they are still together now 26 years later

22 first time, 32 second time

I was married at 25 and still together 35 years later

Not married, but bought a house with OH at 24 (he's 29). Neither of us have any desire to get married (or have kids) so this'll be the biggest commitment of our lives! I think I'm old enough to have developed into who I am, for the most part, and don't think I'm too young to have committed. I've never been a wild party girl or desperate to go to Uni or travel the world, I just want to settle down and make my house a home and live with the man I hope to spend the rest of my life with - I'm easily pleased!

I got married at the age of 20 and still am 34 years later.

16. Our 43rd wedding anniversary is at the end of January next year
