Hidden meaning of your dog's name?

Here's a bit of trivia.
I noticed yesterday, when I saw the word "decency", that if you take two letters out, you get Deccy! Pretty appropriate for a gentle, well mannered dog!
Can anyone else mess with their dog's name and get a word that suits them?

The only thing that springs to mind with Jack is

a, he's pretty good at agility
b, he's pretty good at obediance
c, he's pretty good at gardening (digging holes and cutting the grass)
d, he's pretty good at keeping cats out the garden
e, he's a pretty good guard dog

So having said all that, he's a Jack of all trades, but master of none

sorry it's not a word, but it's the best I could think of

I cant think of any for Storm and Jake but Skye would be Keys as she is forever pinching them.
Star would be Rats, I think everyone knows why.
