Thanks for all the replies folks...

Today has not gone well...

Its not a cruciate injury its bone cancer.
As you can imagine we are devastated.

She is booked in with a specialist on monday. From what i can understand they need to find out if its spread then make decisions. We are insured and even if we werent she wouldbe getting the best options available to try and beat this. They have told is it may be a case of her losing the leg but if thats all we can overcome that.... I'm petrified

Oh no, that's terrible news. I'm so sorry.

FiveDogPam went through this last year with Milo...you might want to have a look at some of her threads for some first hand experience.

Best of luck to you and Paddy facing this.

I am so sorry.

Hopefully it has been found early and they can do something for her and she has many happy years with you yet.

Everything crossed.

yep mine too. Well not my neighbour of course my Cairn Terrier. He went on to live a full and active and whizzing about life until he sadly died from an illness which was nothing to do with his cruciates.

sorry to hear your news
for others who may read this thread due to title, my GSD had a TTA operation after an acident now some 20 months later he has lost the initial weight he gained, apart from being a bit clumsy getting in the car no problems, he even jumped over a Vizla the other week, I play frisbee with him x2 daily and he has now started going back to his therapy work with clients.

Oh heck, that is not the best of news Grommit........I will keep everything crossed that any treatment, even if it is the loss of a leg, is completely successful.

A big cuddle for you.
