Pet Shops Selling Puppies

We came across some pet shops selling puppies at the weekend. There were a variety of smaller breeds and cross breeds. It looked unnatural to me how they were kept and I didn't feel comfortable with it Though their condition looked fine. What are peoples thoughts on pet shops selling pups?

ETA: so the shop closes at 5.30pm ish and the pups stay alone all night? thats harsh

I am sure that dogs are not allowed to be sold in pet shops. I'm sure the practice was stopped in the 80/90's.

I would make a call to the RSPCA and ask.

There are loads around greater london, particularly, greenford, ealing, hanwell.
They do have licences.
I hate them as they just continually breed to sell every breed you can think of, doubt they do health checks but not sure.

Pet shops are allowed to sell them if they have a license. I thinks it's shocking in this day and age.
