I do hope she's OK, not sure what 'on the wagon' means but most likely it's 'even more grumpy than usual' not nice, we are all here to support you Moyra.

She looks really well Mandy Rounded mine up and sent them to bed, Mabs was straight out again, and probably Zen will be out again now, warm tonight so not a problem, Kesh heaved herself up like an old lady and went to bed,she must have been well away, don't like them lying on the flags, there is rubber matting out, but mostly they ignore it and lie on the paving, bet she was stiff and cold
Just had to go flying out as they all started barking, people putting their bins out, but very late compared to teatime when people usually do it. Everybody back in bed now. Hate it when they kick off like that as I immediately think something is wrong

My mate has her scan tomorrow for her twins, then my mate is coming back from Shropshire on Saturday, saw my mates Jim and Barney tonight...so I am happy

Lovely you've seen some friends today, Griff. I'm very careful about the girls barking, luckily they are not real barkers, but don't want them to set off at anything, and people with wheelie bins are NOT a threat. Last weekend one of my near neighbours demolished a wall and had a new fence erected, plenty of noise going on, but they never bothered even though it was something new and strange. They must have heard wheelie bins by now at least a million times, so that is why I shot out to them, could have been something going on in which case they would have been praised, but wheelie bins, not having it!!!

If it's any consolation ours do the same. I did say to SWMBO that at least the stone slabs are dry but given the choice between rubber matting and flagstones I know which I would prefer

Demolishing a wall, hammers, drills, people shouting and joking, that's all 'human' stuff but I have to say in defence of our cannine friends a wheely bin being moved does make a kind of 'growling' noise, have a careful listen next time, ours does, especially on the tarmac drive.
Problem is we never really know how a dog 'hears' a noise, we know they 'hear' a child screaming in a completely different way to humans. Even with all the huge medical knowledge we have I do feel that we are not that close to our dogs in some ways.

ETA:-
You going out to them is good because it gives them reassurance that this 'growly noise' is not some strange animal about to attack

Back streets of Lancashire here Harvey, its cobbles, makes a right racket, and they must have heard those wheeliebins millions of times, so why make a fuss all of a sudden
