None the wiser - Megs Ears

Ok,
So she has been shaking her head over the last day and still has no fur on them,so have been to the vets tonight.

She has slight irritation at the entrance of her ear,she did a scrape and no sign of mites. She seems to think the furloss might be an allergy of some sort.

So we have some advocate and ear cleaner and a £60 bill

So we have to see how it goes over the next few weeks and see if the fur grows back,if not then she wants to do skin scrapes etc.....

Get some Thornit powder..(cheaper than the vets and usually a miracle cure! remember to put some on her paws if she is scratching too)

Thanks both

I'll give the thornit a go as well it can't hurt.

I'm giving her a shower in a bit, cleaning her ears again and then I'll apply the advocate when she's dry

I think the thornit powder is really good too. Also, they have a tea tree cleanser on the website which is very good value and stops the ears getting whiffy.

Totally don't know your situation and I'm sure the vet would have thought of it, but it couldn't be sunburn could it?

Or hayfever? Or a grass seed-type thing in her ear?

Thanks all,
Apparently this is quite common in our breed and usually nothing to worry about, although I've never experienced it before.

I have had lots of suggestions to try, coconut oil etc,so I will give them a go too
