Scavenging - not enough in complete food?

I'm thinking of changing Woody's food from AG Sensitive to JWB turkey and rice.

He is really bad at scavenging and I think it's making him poorly, so wondering if he's not getting enough from his current food?

Advice please?

IS your dog a springer? From my experience with one springer and 1 cocker, they are greedy dogs no matter what you feed them. I read once that dogs do this because they don't know where or when the next meal is coming from. I don't know how to conquer this behaviour apart from reprimanding them when they do it.

How much are you feeding him per day? Does he have any extras during the day?

One of our dogs was terrible for scavenging. He was fed correct amount of food with no treats during the day, there was no health issues either. One day out in the woods he was off lead, he came across someones leftover fast food which had been dumped off the main path and he ate the bones, and got a peice stuck in his throat before we could stop him (thankfully didn't kill him!). In the end we put a muzzle on him for his own safety and health.

I have just taken mine off raw because they were bored with it. They are back on Fish for dogs and seem constantly hungry. Moral is: feed raw chicken as the bones take longer to process and they seem much less hungry.
