Ellis, Staffie, DOB 01.01.09

Ellis, Staffie, DOB 01.01.09

His Story: Ellis was found stray 15 miles from where he was originally vax'd and chipped as a wee pup. His chip was never registered; the mobile phone number on the vet notes was disconnected. Anyone losing a Staffie in the area knows the dog warden involved. We have found out he was born around Jan 09.

Homing Requirements: Dog experienced owners required who understand the unjust prejudice this breed has and are happy to ride it, Ellis is! Ellis is a bouncy, young Staffie who mixes well with dogs and people. Secure garden and sensible children required. Not cat tested /small furries.

Advert: Ellis is a clown ... such fun and will have you in stitches with his affection and joyous mirth. He shines out as a super specimen of his breed type. No baggage with his chap; he is welcoming and ready to flow in with what ever activity is on offer. He is coping OK in kennels, but he is such a people dog he will make such an impact on his family when he meets them. He needs his home NOW!

Ellis is a beauty; in good condition and has a lovely balance with dogs in the sense of being welcoming, but not in their face. He will develop dog friends no doubt and in the right hands will build his confidence and developing his training further. He will make an 'off lead' dog in most settings. Delightful dog with stars in his eyes.

"Please note Ellis is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

An update from one of our volunteer kennel walkers:

“Yesterday we kidnapped Ellis for a day and what a wonderful day it was! He made us both smile! Little happy soul! Jumpy and a bit stressed to start with, took few min to settle in the car - just wanted to look out the window...and looking into our eyes with questioning “where we going”?? We took him to Nymans woods which is the best place of all as hardly any people and dogs around especially during the week. Ellis is very clever, he sits and gives paw for treats, he nips a bit from excitement and wants to play all the time, but stops when told to. I have all the trust in the world in this dog he wouldn't hurt a fly. Careful with other dogs though as sometimes wants to play rough which scares little dogs, but he's a giant softy – really loves his cuddles and kisses once he has got the trust in us. I'm absolutely in love with him! When on the walk he stays close, keeps looking behind to see if we follow. He loves exploring and looking into every hole!.Loves to be active - he enjoyed a bit of training we gave him. Very confident ... had a little swim when by accident (he is a bit clumsy..lol) fell into deep steam, but very quickly got himself out and pretended nothing had happened, he is so funny! I loved every min spent with this little man and having him as a family member would be dream come true”!

Ellis is looking for a foster or forever home.

Ellis is a handsome dog, and even though his "pirate" eye makes him look like a tough guy, he is a real sweetheart. We just love him.

Ellis now features on JustStaffies
