Bitch not eating.

Mo is having her first season since we have had her.(you may remember she can't be spayed because of her heart)

She has been right off her food for about 2wks, the same length of time that she has been in season.

She will eat her evening meal, reluctantly, but not her breakfast.

Do you think this a hormonal thing, or something else I should be worried about?

I have had a bitch who was very faddy & reluctant to eat during her season, & actually continued to display this behavior twice a year even after she was speyed. I'd check with the vet but I think its most likely her season causing this.

I think sometimes when they have a season they feel a bit sick in the morning. As long as she is eating something then I wouldn't worry too much.
