What a start to the day!

I don't go back to work till tomorrow.
However the phone woke us this morning a about half 6 to tell husband to get himself to his tug boat as there was a freight ship ashore on one of the small islands in the Pentland Firth deep joy.
That means I have to get up and out in a freezing cold morning to take him to his work ( he will now be gone a few days so don't want a vehicle left on a remote pier).
When we get to his tug boat he tells me he has forgotten his mobile
I get home, back into bed, just doze off and the phone rings! They aren't setting off just yet so can I bring the mobile!!!!! (I didn't swear honest)
Back in the car, out in the cold, off to remote pier, give hubby phone and very little abuse to be honest again.
Back to bed, nice and warm.........................
Phone rings!!!!(WTF)!!!!!! it's my big brother to ask if hubby is on salvage tug?
Brother and his team are away to get their stuff ready to dive on stricken vessel to assess the damage to the hull.
Good for you say I. Now bog off and let me get some sleep.
Believe it or not I manage to doze off again...................
Only to be woken up by.................. you guessed it, the phone!!!!!
WRONG BLOODY NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I give up.
Finally got up & fed dogs, who by this time thing they live in a circus, put the washing on and get on with my day.
Going to throw the chrimbo tree out the window and see if that makes me feel any better! lol

Oh don't you just hate days like that, especially as it was your last day off.

Have you got any Christmas booze left? maybe a little toddy would make you feel better, it'll warm you up if nothing else.

I hope everyone is safe with regards to the stricken vessel and those going to attend.

News from at sea.
The vessel is tied up safely alongside one of the small island piers.
Dive team have had a look and big bro tells me there isn't much of the bottom of the boat left. It is an approx 90ft bulk carrier. Has a cargo which doesn't mix well with water, if it gets wet will give off some nasty fumes with deadly effect.
That info or course will be kept quite because that is what happens.
But the main thing at the mo is that all crew are safe and well and nothing bad is happening to anybody.

I must admit it was like some sort of comedy show this morning.

Tomorrow, I'll have to see if I can get my w/chair into our porch (really, see if there's enough space to turn it round) and have a gander out over the Flow to see if I can spot any bent boats

Thankfully, I haven't had a guddle of a morning like that in ages!

Crane your neck towards Lyness, she is tied there.
have you not got a motor on that chair yet? I know of a 50cc scooter you could break for parts!
