Wowzers!

Howdy all! I love living in my lil' ghost town on the edge of nowhere! I don't know if any of ya's were far enough North to see the Aurora show on the 17th; but I was lucky enough that it was clear out, and just far enough North to get a jaw dropping show. Bud must have thought I was crazy; because at several points during the 3 hour aurora display I was hopping up and down and exclaiming "WOW!" YES!" OMG!!! Wow-wow-wow-wowowowowowow!!!!

And my old camera sure got a workout too! (I really need a new camera!) The pics I got were nice, but with a modern DSLR (less than 9 years old) they could have been so much better!

But they weren't that bad.




Definitely the most impressive display I have seen to date! Absolutely staggering! I spent about 3 hours from 12:30 am to 3:30 am taking about 250 shots. And spent a few hours today turning them into a time lapse video and posting it on YouTube.

You's guessed it! Here it is!


It was an exciting night for me for sure! Definitely one of the highlights (no pun intended! ) of my time here at Butedale!

They've been visible here in Scotland (where no hills block the view North) but I've not been doing any photography of late.
