On the basis of this thread ive just started "the name of the wind", so far so good, its a long book eh, took forever to get to 3% last night!

I'm liking how random my book reading has become the last one was "started early, took my dog" purely beacuse it was free! and had dog in the title!

Dolce, i'm sure you'll love it, it's incredibly well written, especially as that was his first novel, the author has a web site and you can follow him on FB.

I've just finished Joe Abercrombies The First Law Trilogy, (not so ) heroic fantasy books, quite good and worth a look, but not ( IMO ) as good as Name of The Wind. I'm now onto Hounded, The Iron Druid Chronicles, a 2100 year old Irish Druid masquerading as a 21 year old shop owner ( with an Irish Wolfhound called Oberon as a sidekick ) in modern day America, enjoying it so far.

I'm going through the Harry Potter books at the moment. Didn't think I'd like 'em much, but they are turning out a nice easy read that keeps my attention

I've always been a kid at heart

I never even considered getting dog behaviour books on Kindle , at least I wouldn't then end up loaning them out, and not get them back !.

well, just thought I'd add, I'm 49% (don't you love kindle) through The Name of the Wind, and I'm loving it.

Have you gone on to read any others of his?
