Not sure where in Chelmsford you are... But Pets at home in Chelmer Village had a notice up about puppy socialisation and walks.

Taking your pup through the high street, would be good (not on weekends as it is mega busy) so get her used to people, children, sights and sounds etc it also means you can walk through the park for more sights sounds, seeing traffic. You could just grab a coffee at somewhere like starbucks (on the corner near high chelmer) or Costa next to Wildwood and let her watch the world go buy...

If you drive, you could also take her to Writtle College on a weekend (far quieter) and walk down the foot path which runs to the farm for socialisation to livestock- sheep, cows, horses, remembering to keep pup on lead

Thanks Spockky boy. That Pets at Home is where we regularly stock up on food (in fact i spent a worrying amoutn there only a few days ago!) so will have another oggle for notices this weekend. Writtle College is also a good shout about livestock - I guess i have to wait for her 2nd vaccination for that...

The pub and miller and carter steak house just down the road from PAH is also a good one, as you can walk down on the flood plains with the horses, along the canal and do a loop walk. Or go the other way towards town.

Danbury park is nice place to go... Hylands park is also good.

I know there a few nice places to walk if you head towards Harlow along the along A414, but I can't think atm lol
