I paid £96 pounds each to have my setters done! They have been fine, no real problems at all! I do have a slight incontinence problem with Potter, the older setter, but that is controlled with drops on her food.
I am glad you found a vet that does installments, it is also good that you trust him. I hope and am sure everything will go well!!

I guess prices will always vary, but spaying is a fairly major op. Castration is a much quicker, less intrusive operation.

I know vets prices vary on overheads etc. but when our Charlie was having problems, first vet charged us £20.88 for a tiny bottle of synulox drops, our new vet charges £10! Both times just to collect from reception, so had I arranged an appointment for the first lot, it would have cost us £45.88

Well I have bad news...

My friend, who I clean for - making £80 a month - has just called. She and OH need to save money, so there's no longer a job for me..

So its goodby £80 and goodby spay untill june, where I can save up and have it done at the vet school for £245 plus a consultation so perhaps around £300

I'm royaly peed off right now...

Now I have to go and cancel the appointment

Aw J I would talk to the vet and explain your delemma ..they may let you pay off a smaller amount over a longer period, it is important the operation is performed at the correct time Do you have vet insurance? Because the vet is recommending a spay on medical grounds perhaps you can claim ?

No I dont have any insurance..

Right now Mini, I cant pay anything... These £80 was actually what made my days a little easier...

So I got to wait till next time.. I will be getting some taxes back in april, so should be able to afford the vet school then... And try and save a bit during the next few months

My ordinary vet actually asked me today if I had insurance.. And I dont.. If I had, he would have said it was a pyo.. and I could have gotten it cheap. Darn it
