Malamute because they are big, which I prefer, and are gorgeous to look at.

I'm not a fan of terrier tenacity although the border terrier wouldnt totally be off my list.

I'd chose the border at the moment as I couldn't have a dog I had to keep onlead and make special provisions for with the lot I have now. If I had no other dogs, however, i'd probably choose the mal but the hairyness also is a downside, I don't like too much hair on my dogs.

I do like both breeds for different reasons.

Malamute for me, I think border terriers are cute but there's a couple of them that do the same walk as us and they always try to bite my 2 so it's kind of put me off

Final choice - Malamutes because stripping the terrier coat is agony with my arthritic hands
